Farm Provider of BNG Units
Family farm provider of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Units (otherwise referred to as Biodiversity Units (BU’s)) at Marbury in South Cheshire (sitting within Cheshire East Local Planning Authority & Shropshire, Cheshire & Staffordshire Plain National Character Areas).
We have been conservation farmers for over 30 years involved in various government agri-environment schemes and self funded habitat creation areas to support local wildlife and nature. We have a dedicated training/meeting room with several nature walks to enhance your understanding of the farm’s biodiversity.
We have teamed up with Tyler Grange (Ecologists) to take our next steps on the conservation journey by producing a Habitat Management & Monitoring Plan (HMMP) over approximately 25 acres of our farm.
This is Phase 1 of our BNG offsite scheme with the enhancement/creation of poor modified grassland, watercourses and arable areas through to moderate/good condition other neutral grassland, mixed scrub and streams, thereby generating approximately 50 biodiversity units.
We intend to start establishing the first area of this phase this summer and will be providing updates as we progress on this exciting venture.
We also have a broad range of other habitats on the farm including hedgerows, ponds and woodlands which are suitable for enlarging/enhancing to fulfil your organisation’s needs – which maybe additional to BNG, such as supporting environmental/social/governance (ESG) and wider conservation objectives.
